The Tiverton Olympic Distance Triathlon begins at Fogland Beach (new for 2004!) in Tiverton, Rhode Island. The bicycle segment traverses beaucolic country roads that pass the Reucker and Seapowet Marsh Wildlife Reserves. Much of the bike route is within view of the Sakonnet River. The roads are flat, fast and safe. The course includes a stretch on Main Road into the adjoining community of Little Compton, past Sakonnet Vineyards. Ideally situated mid-way between Providence and New Bedford, this event is easily reached from the Boston metro region, as well. The course is outstanding and should result in a host of personal records.
